I am from Bangalore. About a month ago, I was diagnosed with a VUJ kidney stone measuring 5.2 mm. My first consultation was with a urologist at a leading corporate hospital in Bangalore, where the doctor advised that the only option was a URS procedure. No medications were prescribed apart from an antibiotic and a painkiller. Hoping the stone might pass naturally, I gave it a couple of weeks with increased fluid intake.
Later, I consulted another senior urologist at another well-known hospital. The scan showed the stone was still in the same place, and once again, URS was suggested as the only solution, with no medications. I was almost ready to undergo the procedure at this point.
